Dave Lombardo, drummer for Slayer, is set to release a solo album in 2010.

In an interview, he said that the album will disappoint metalheads, because it will be more avant-garde.

Dave Lombardo is the "godfather of double bass" drums. His influence on percussionists is well noted. He has worked with many bands besides Slayer; Fantomas, Grip Inc, Testament, John Zorn, Apocalyptica, and numerous other side projects.
