I really do love Saxon and in my opinion they are excellent live and continue to make great albums, my only negative point is that the last two times I have seen them they have wasted the last five minutes of their set with audience participation before legging it. They could have played another song IMO.

^^I guess it becomes a habit Sweaty, Biff probably just loves workin' the crowd to get them more involved. If a band is playing a full out 3 hour set, then if they want to have some fun with the audience I don't mind but if they are on stage for the time it takes you to empty a pint or two then I agree more action, less chatter.:heheh:

Maybe I'm getting too old or whatever, but I also don't like the chatter any longer at shows. I hate when it gets near the end of a song, and then , here it comes..."Ok Now it's your turn"...I'm like GREAT! This is gonna take about 7 minutes....:oyea:

That or the split the audience down the middle deal and pretend that the right side sounded better than the left and vice versa.....OK! We all know we're all gonna be instructed into one loud cheer at the end...

...c'mon, let's hit some tunes!!

Yeah, if you are going to make it a participation event get creative and do something with that.

Only so many times I can stand there singing whoah oh oh whoah oh!

With concert ticket prices being as high as they are, I think it's too much for a singer to yell anymore, "I can't hear you!! SING with me!!"

Or better yet, the "Ok we're gonna try that again...cause that was lame from last night"

What is this a rehearsal?? So the city before us were louder..so what.

Makes me wanna say, "My concert ticket is too high, so we're gonna try this again"...at the front gate. :oyea:

^^Do you manage to "gnosh" a few crisps with Biff and the lads after a set Sweaty??

:oyea:

One of the best ways to go about having a break for the band members and keeping the audience involved is simply letting the guys solo for a bit. Most bands like stepping out and having some fun,,,not sure what the vocalists would do with their time though... And would only work for a big concert, not just a short set in the local public house.

Pink Floyd when they toured here hardly said a word, David and the boys were gracious and professional, at various points during the show he talked about the individual band members but otherwise it was all about the music.
