Re: "The Official" Ryan Adams Thread

I'd heard so much about him for so long that when sifting through CDs at our local library and found a bunch of his, I decided to check them out. So far I've only heard Follow the Lights and I like it a lot. And he's one of the few artists I can actually get from this very lame (but very cheap - $6.95 w free shipping) record club I belong to, so I guess I'll be stocking up.

For some reason I'm thinking my wife and I saw him perform at the Indiana State Fair a number of years ago, but I could be wrong. At any rate, there's something very familiar about his singing voice, and I can't quite place it.

Sunny my favorite album of his is Rock N' Roll which was a break in style for him but my favorite album of his to check out is Cold Roses which has some of his best Alt-Country on it IMO! Feel free to let me know what you think if you get to check any of his albums out! :grinthumb

OKAY!! I used the record store gift voucher I've had since my birthday and I got Rock N Roll and Love Is Hell. When I've had a good listen, I'll let you know what I think.

I haven't paid much attention to Ryan Adams solo, but I sure like him in Whiskeytown. I will catch up with his solo stuff, though.........

Consequently I never really listened to much of Whiskeytown even though I knew of their existence and Ryan Adams involvement! I'll have to do the same! :grinthumb
