I am a huge fan of ARS, well the original line-up with Ronnie Hammond on vocals.

Robert Nix, one of the best southern rock bands of their time.

Yet another sad loss for music fans. This is happening way too often lately.

RIP Robert. I'm a big fan of Atlanta Rhythm Section's first album with Rodney Justo on vocals. Robert Nix co-authored six of the ten songs on that 1971 classic. I liked a couple of the later songs as well, but the first album is my favorite.

You know I forgot completely about Rodney Justo being in the band...

But for my money, without Ronnie Hammond on vocals ARS is not the same, he was such a big part of their overall sound I will always associate him with them and nobody else.
