Wild Man Fischer, a man who many regard as being the founder of "outsider" music passed away last Thursday. He was 66 years old.

His story is quite intriguing. He suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder but that apparently didn't stop him from making music. He's done a duet with Rosemary Clooney and had close ties with Frank Zappa. It was Zappa that discovered him on a street corner and offered to produce Fischer's first album and release it on his label.
RIP Mr. Fischer.
