They opened up for Rush during the Moving Pictures tour in 1981. I saw them at the Hollywood Sportatorium in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Was introduced to tear gas that night before the show. A few bad apples spoiled it for a whole bunch of us. Heavy duty stuff at 16.

I only got to see RIOT "live" at the 1st Donington Monsters of rock festival .They were great,fond memories.Guy Speranza was singing for them at that time. I also got to meet them when they turned up at a local record shop to sign albums .
Recently purchased another RIOT album showing off the vocal talents of Mike De Meo "Through the storm ". Its a fine album...but differs from the style of the early albums which I really love.Hard to believe its the same band...well in name anyway

Just 2 powerful tracks off RIOTs latest offering "Immortal soul " . Impressive stuff !! Showing the guitar mastery of MARK REALE.......what a sad day to find out of his passing . He was legend
The album featured a reformation of the "Thundersteel" line up and takes a more Power metal approach

Since the death of founding member Mark Reale....by request of his father the name RIOT will never be used again.It will rest with Mark Reale.
Ex members of the "Thundersteel " line up Mike Flyntz,Bobby Jarzombek and Don Von Stavern are putting together a new named band....
