i have just discovered him
I had always written him off as teeny bopper crap
Then I listened to summertime to hear James Burton create the riff for Black Night and other songs (Blues Magoos ain't got nothin yet)
The. I heard Traveling Man, Mary Lou, Milk Cow Blues, Believe what you say etc and realized he was more than that. He put together a band of solid musicians and had a soulful haunting voice. The audio production was ahead of its time....
