Goody's close out sale continued, as did the flight of funds from my wallet (about $235 worth):

George Harrison and Friends: CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH

John Lennon: MIND GAMES

Pete Townsend: SCOOPED

Carole King: TAPESTRY (I've NEVER owned this!)

Marvin Gaye: WHAT'S GOING ON (nor this)

Roberta Flack: BEST OF (I have NOTHING of hers)

Al Green: EVERYTHING'S OK (one of his new ones)

Cyndi Lauper: THE BODY ACOUSTIC (heard it on Rhapsody and was impressed)

Beck: GUERO (the deluxe edition at 50% off was about the same price as
regular at Best Buy)

Flaming Lips: THE SOFT BULLETIN

Norah Jones: FEELS LIKE HOME

Spinners: GREATEST HITS

Massive Attack: BLUE LINES and MEZZANINE

Lisa Loeb: VERY BEST OF

Don McLean: AMERICAN PIE AND OTHER HITS

Robert Randolph And The Family Band: UNCLASSIFIED

Billy Joel: COMPLETE GREATEST HITS (box set)

Neil Diamond: 12 SONGS

Los Lobos: LIVE AT THE FILLMORE

Ben Folds: SONGS FOR SILVERMAN

Kings Of Leon: AHA SHAKE HEARTBREAK

Now I just need to find time to play these.

Cool stuff Joey!! I've got some of those....

My friends burned me some things for my birthday -

Tea Leaf Green - Tea Leaf Green (perhaps?)
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
Nine Inch Nails - Further Down The Spiral
Kings of Leon - Aha shake Heartbreak
Wilco - A Ghost Is Born
Judas Priest - compilation

Recently I bought the amazing live album Ten Years After Now - Roadworks. Also got the famous Lynyrd Skynyrd album Second Helping. And I had $4 left on an internet giftcard so I managed to buy a used copy of a Madonna album called Music.

how's that latest starlight mints MW? i've only heard their first two, 'built on squares' was a great kinks inspired album, i didn't know they were still releasing new stuff.

i picked up mr. bungle's final disc 'california' yesterday. i'd been randomly checking stores for it for the last few years and finally got lucky, disco volante is everywhere but C and the self titled are incredibly rare it seems.

i also snagged a copy of the pink floyd live at pompeii dvd

Built to Spill is a great band. I can't find their live album anywhere. All I know about it is that it has my favorite version of Car.

I just got a lot of Van Halen (Van Halen, VH II, Driver Down and Fair Warning) and Cat Stevens (Pretty much all of his stuff). I have liked both for a long, long time, but never got much of their stuff. After giving 5150 two good listens, I had to get some more Van Halen, and I just needed Cat Stevens.

It's actually the only thing I heard from them. I heard of them but never heard them before. I rather like it. Kind of quirky and I like their use of horns and strings. Makes me want to check out the rest of their catalog.

They just signed with Barsuk - I get promos from them from time to time and I got a couple of songs that made me want to check them out. Glad I did. :phones:

Call me a geezer, but my latest purchases were Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago's first album, for you youngsters), Crabby Appleton's first and Israel Vibration's "The Same Song", the baddest (in a good way) reggae album ever!
