And the Grammy Goes To .......Willie "Big Eyes" Smith and Pinetop Perkins for Joined At the Hip in the category of Best Traditional Blues Album. At the age of 97, Perkins became the oldest Grammy winner, A little more than a month later, Perkins died on March 21st, 2011 at his home in Austin, Texas.
I was lucky enogh to see Pinetop at Antone's in Austin. he even jumped over to the Broken Spoke..here is a clip, I wasnt at this show, but he did a three night run, and the one I was at was even better!
