Soot and Stars
I AM SOOT!
Paper Tongues

Just found this band and I think they have potential to be big! They are backed by "American Idols" Randy Jackson but don't hold that against them. This may be one of the rare instances where someone big is backing the right band for once. This group is about melding artist with all different backgrounds into one and it shows. The group definitely has it's own foundations in rock but adds everything from funk, rap (nothing that will bother rap hatas ) and soul. The vocalist is great and puts his all into the songs with enthusiasm.
Their self titled album:
Paper Tongues
It's lead by the lead single Ride To California which appropriately talks about the challenge they had of getting the money to go to California and get heard. This isn't their only good song but I heard three good versions of this song all different and I liked them all.
Ride to California
Ride to California Acoustic
(real cool, soulful and laid back)
Ride to California live with Lacey Mosely of Flyleaf
Trinity
