RIP Peter....very interesting lyricist and 'pet hippie' as he called himself in the early days of King Crimson....a name he came up with. Esoteric, surreal, and historical aspects to his lyrics with Crimson. He also wrote some for other bands and artists over the years. He co- wrote 'I Talk To The Wind' with Ian Mcdonald which Judy Dyble recorded with Giles, Giles, and Fripp and McDonald on flute.
Another link for him... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Sinfield

The original from 1968 with Judy Dyble...the origin is explained before the song.
