Rolling Stones fans can circle this Thursday (Oct. 11) on their calendars, as the band will release a new single called ‘Doom and Gloom’ in advance of their ‘GRRR!’ greatest hits collection.

The song marks the first time that all four Rolling Stones members have been in the studio together in over seven years. The track was recorded in Paris and features production work by their longtime friend Don Was.

The hits collection is bolstered with a pair of new songs, with ‘One More Shot’ being the other fresh track on the collection. In addition, fans can look for such classic favorites as ‘Gimme Shelter,’ ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,’ ‘Start Me Up,’ ‘Tumbling Dice‘ and ‘Love Is Strong‘ on the set. The disc is due on Nov. 13 in the United States and Nov. 12 in England and the rest of the world.

The Rolling Stones will premiere ‘Doom and Gloom’ on BBC’s Radio 2 at 8:15AM BST (that’s 3:15AM EST), and the single will be available for download the same day via iTunes. In addition, pre-orders for the ‘GRRR!’ album also begin this Thursday (Oct. 11) on iTunes.

Not interested in yet another Greatest Hits album, good lord just buy Hot Rocks I and II and that's all you'll ever need.

It is nice they are back making music again though, many fans wondered if the schism between Keith and Mick meant the end of the band for good this time.
