What are some of your favorites bands specifically in the Progressive Rock and Metal genres? ? BTW, great avatar.

Thank for the very warm welcome. For Progressive Rock bands my favourites are Rush, Pink Floyd, YES, Genesis (with Peter Gabriel), Wishbourne Ash, Jethro Tull and King Crimson.

For Metal there is many but some of my favourites are, KISS, Van Halen, Metalica, Ozzy Ozbourne, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard and Megadeth. Of course some of these bands go in the glam metal and hard rock genres as well, but they all have metal in them (if you get what I mean).

Overall my favourites bands out of the entire Rock Genre would be Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Van Halen and Rush!
