NIGHT RANGER IN THE STUDIO FOR NEW 2011 RELEASE:
Night Ranger/Damn Yankees frontman Jack Blades checked in with me today, eager to talk about upcoming plans. Right now, Night Ranger are in the studio in Northern California writing and recording a new album, while gearing up for a 30th Anniversary World Tour in 2011. Jack is also finishing up his second solo CD this week, with Anthony Focx mixing.

Wonder if he will continue using some of the leftover songs from that third Damn Yankees album that was cancelled about 9-10 years ago despite being nearly complete. Jack used at least 2 or 3 of those songs on his previous solo album.

Outstanding news. When they step on stage in London in June it will have been 26 years and 9 days since they last played in the UK. Had tickets then, got met & greet tickets now. What was already a good year for UK gigs has just become exceptional.

Roll on the Rangers in June.
