Neal Schon: Hardline and Soul Cirkus

I really like Neal Schon's guitar playing from the Santana and early Journey days. Critics say he is technically strong like Santana, but lacks the flair or imagination. Me, I don't care, I just think that, like Scott Gorham of Thin lizzy, he is a class apart and transcends other musicians who come and go. I originally contemplated whether to put this thread in the 70s or 80s section, but he spans the decades from Santana in the early seventies to today's Journey and his solo work.

Schon has been involved in a few other bands, or supergroups, besides Santana and Journey, such as Hardline and Soul Sirkus. They are pretty good and showcase his heavier style, so I wondered is there anybody else at CRF who likes these bands?
