Okay, I am interested in knowing how widespread the taste in album covers go on this board.
Your covers need not be in any specific order and it also does not have to be Rock Albums only ... any genre is fine. I would also appreciate a short description as to why for every cover.
Here is mine, in no specific order:
Whitesnake - Lovehunter
I love the various innuendos in this image, as well as the style it is done in. There is also a level of sensuality depicted which is not easily found in real life.
Def Leppard - Hysteria
When looking at the 'Face' on the cover, you can literally feel the confusion, the battle between personas ... the Hysteria! Then, of course, I also LOVE the background ... the typical late 70's & 80's "Electronic Progression" where robotics, for instance, were being discovered and even feared whilst being marvelled at!
Iron Maiden - Best of the Beast
Well, I love ALL Iron Maiden covers, but this one displays a multitude of Eddie's Personalities ... Old School Mummy right up to High Tech Cyborg - Gotta LOVE IT!
Van Halen - Balance
Well, looking at the depiction of the inner-war between being good or not, just about says all there is to be said.
The Clash - London Calling
This is one of my most favourites. I love the manner in which the typical Punk-Rocker mentality is being depicted ... the manner of depiction is extremely euphemistic, though still typical Punk-Rocker!
