Hey guys, I'm new here, just found this forum on the net and it looks like a great place to hang out and talk about the stuff I like... perhaps you will want to share it with me!

Like I said in my little intro thread, my favorite genre is progressive rock (or classic rock, as some call it), and I grew up listening to a lot of the old school bands, Jethro Tull being one of my personal faves (that explains my avatar!) but also other British mammoth prog bands (love the Gabriel era of Genesis, esp Selling England by the Pound) and the unmissable Yes! Having said that, I'm also a huge fan of older hard rock and heavy bands, such as Judas Priest, Rainbow, Scorpions and Deep Purple!

So are there any JT fans out there who would want to share their passion with me?

I’ve moved your thread here, as the "Musician's Corner" is mainly meant as a place for people to post about their own bands and music.

As for Jethro Tull, we have have a whole thread here:

http://www.classicrockforums.com/forum/f6/jethro-tull-official-thread-3314/

In addition, we have threads for pretty much any other band you can think of and if not, you are more than welcome to open one. FYI We usually talk about specific bands in specific threads.

However, that does not mean that we cannot have a general discussion here, or talk about just Jethro Tull as well. We are not that strict. :heheh:

I love Jethro Tull. My favourite studio album is "Songs from the Wood". That being said, I think my most played Jethro Tull record is probably the live album "Live - Bursting Out".

haha you're here too! Sorry didn't realise my post was in the wrong section, at first I thought it had been deleted (surely not for being inappropriate!) and then I saw it again in the rock lounge area... how cozy is that :) Anyway I'm happy talking about anything, not just JT, just glad if anyone talks to me about the stuff that makes them tick... I have found quite a number of great new artists on bandcamp lately, it's a cool place to discover new talent I've found, soundcloud is also fairly easy to browse but bandcamp has a slicker feel to it in my opinion :) There's this female singer called Leah who has a new album out, I think she's released a few already, the album is called kings and queens, and it's very much in a similar style to Within Temptation, that's my latest finding :)

Yepp you're right, Leah the metal Enya - leah.net is her site where you can buy her album and I think this is her second. I like her - both her looks and her music.
How did you found her?
