I'm going out and buying the new Priest the day it drops here....I'm a huge fan of Priest, Fight and Halford so you know I'm jacked. I was bit disappointed w/ the last release ( It has grown on me some though) but diggng this one.

Its easy to understand why you didn't dig Nostradamus. Being a concept album they also made a real change in musical sound too. Its just growing on me of late.

Yeah, not enough rockers for me. Really like God of War and the title track. A few more in that vein and I would rate it much higher.

The problem I have with it Is there are not enough rockers like God of War and the title track both of whi h I really enjoy. It drags on with far too many slow depressing ballad types. If they had picked up the pace a bit more from time to time I'm sure I would enjoy it much more. I have nothing against the concept or thee symphonic elemtents. .

I think "Nostradamus" is a really good record. It has some great songs and some decent songs, but overall it's simply too long! I bet you could make a great compilation out of it, but you'd have to ask @Musikwala who's an expert on making personal compilations/playlists! :D

Hahaha I don't know if I'm an expert but I do enjoy making personal playlists and my own versions of albums. :p

I know nothing about Judas Priest's latest album (or most of their discography really) so I'll stay quiet about that one.

The ballady nature initially threw me off this album as I don't generally like albums to be overly saturated with them but it works for me now on this particular one. Fits the concept too. They couldn't really go the old school metal style they did prior.
