Just finished listening to this album. If you're expecting a good album - you cannot be disappointed. There are some bits taken from the original TAAB album, "What-ifs, Maybes And Might-have-beens," "Old School Song" and "From A Pebble Thrown." Absolutely love it, a good mixture softness and heaviness a'la Aqualung. It is a shame it's not labeled as Jethro Tull. But Ian Anderson still can show how to make a prog album with the style of the early 70s.

Also "Banker Bets, Banker Wins" would be my favourite track off this album.
Thick As A Brick #2 is a monumental album. Worth the wait and a return to form from the master. It's probably true to say that he has trumped his contempaories and produced one of the albums of the year. It will be interesting to see if any of other bands who produced concept albums now go into the studio to revamp the idea; Tommy#2 anyone? :)

Wootton Bassett is a fabulous song and A Change of Horses must go down as being one of Ian Anderson's finest compositions and a classic work. Well that is my opinion.

I need to look into the new Ian Anderson release. I've heard nothing but good about it from all sources and the fact that it harkens back to a more 70's based sound has me excited.

Just ordered a copy after listening to some of the tracks they each appealed to me from the off. I hope it's not the end of the Ian and Martin musical relationship but more a change is as good as a rest.

^^ It's hard for me to get into This Was, Stand Up is almost there. But Benefit is on my top 3 list . :grinthumb

This Was is one of my Fave Tull albums, I love it to pieces:)

I must pick up that new album, it is a must and sounds so good on the ear, any Tull fan must buy it:)

^^ HMV in Reading has a vinyl section (finally), so I am hoping one day I find TAAB 2 on vinyl. If the price is satisfying, I will definitely buy it. Great album, 'not Tull' with the sound of 'old Tull'.
