I decided to join this board because it is hard to get objective opinions at fan site boards. Saying that, i will admit that im a huge Scorpions fan and its hard to be completely objective when you are discussing your favorite band.
Im 38 and i started to get into rock/hard rock at about 5 years old ( 1977). Kiss destroyer and some alice cooper 45's did it for me. As i got into the 80's i started to like ozzy ( both solo and sabbath )...then in 83 i bought Def Leppard pyromania and Quiet Riot Mental health ( yes these are classics)...after spinning these for a few months, a friend of mines brother comes driving up with these ripping mad riffs blaring out of the car " Can't live , can't live without you! " What the heck was that ? Who were they ? Scorpions. Next weekend my parents buy me Blackout. I was hooked.
I also knew about and bought Van Halen 1, 2, wcf....loved them as well. My two favorite bands of the 80's. It was all Scorps and Van halen till the Early 90's....then Metallica was on my list and it was all downhill from there. Slayer , deathmetal
.
It has come full circle now and i have rediscovered hard rock. Especially the Scorps
....So, im ready to talk ROCK !
