On Tuesday Eagle Rock Entertainment released Heaven & Hell’s Neon Nights on CD and DVD. The disc captures the group’s 2009 performance at the Wacken Open Air Festival before Ronnie James Dio was diagnosed with the cancer that eventually took his life.
Dio’s wife and manager Wendy Dio told VH1 News that she’d like to see the remaining members of the band continue to work together. “I don’t know what they’re doing right now,” she said. “I know that Geezer [Butler]’s been asked several times and he’s just, he took it very hard. I don’t really know what they’re doing right now.
“They should do something else, with Vinny [Appice] too,” she continued. “I mean, the band was amazing, an amazing band and they should carry on to do something. It won’t be called Heaven & Hell but whatever they call it, it will be great, it will be amazing.”
