I gained a lot of respect for George after watching Scorcese's biography about him last year

Scorcese is a genius, and I agree about that documentary, MS has done a few great bio-things like that going back to The Last Waltz, and also his films on the Stones, Dylan, the blues. I think George would be my favourite Beatle too, I especially loved his Tavelling Wilburys stuff, for me still the best 'Super Group' of all time (Orbison, Dylan, Harrison, Petty, Lynne)

George was intelligent, witty, upbeat and an innovator. He certainly did not deserve a premature death.
