Walter Becker, co-founder of the band Steely Dan, was born in Queens, NY on this day in 1950. His many talents include bass, guitar, vocals, songwriting and record producing. Black Cow, from the 1977 album, Aja, was co-written by Walter.

I'd say Walter has done very well for himself over the years, I love Steely Dan. It's really strange that they have toured more the last 10+ years than they did during their absolute prime.
