I AM SOOT!
Like past artists I've spotlighted including Junior Senior, Matt and Kim, etc. this is a pop rock group just as infectious and full of candy and sun filled dreams. The twist is the vocalist has a more snarky Modest Mouse tinge to his vocals. There's a little darker tone to this band as well. The album title and the contrast it implies may just be that shifting of tones. I think with the band that preceded this group may have kept the momentum for newer groups like Of monsters and Men to come out. I remember there was a nice buzz around these guys last year but I've just hopped on board now! I'm really liking it the more I listen to it! Here's the debut album and my favorite tracks:
