Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford are in the making of a new super group.

**GASP** Could it be true:****:

According to this article they have been in the studio and sound engineer, Kevin Shirley, has dropped hints about the "Supergroup" in his Blog

I will keep a close eye on this news leak..........

hmm... This could either be really really cool, or a total bust, it just might be too many screaming guitars, all at once...

Those four would be a disaster together. You want no more than two guitarists in a band, to which drums and an organ or bass must be added.

:wtf:

there are a lot of bands that can use 3+
but its not 3 LEAD guitarists, look at the Outlaws, they have 3 guitarists, and I believe they had four at one point(I could be wrong though), but there needs to be a balance:heheh:

Yeah, sounds like a ridiculous notion to me. Sounds like someone who doesn't know the first thing about music making up rumors. This doesn't even look good on paper.

The blog has been updated...

the blog says:
caveman on 11/24/09 said:
"There's no supergroup planned with 50 guitarists recording, I'm sorry"

BUT....he does go on to say there is a 4 piece "supergroup" with an exploratory recording early next year. And Caveman also states he is recording a "pioneer" early next year........dang I wonder who the supergroup will be???

Clapton turned down an offer to join the Beatles after George walked out.

Maybe Clapton, Page, and Jeff Beck need to form the SUPER Yardbirds.
