You are like an encyclopedia of the vinyl era of some of the legends of British music Jeffrey. I like the Mk II line-up of FM more myself, I never even knew who Peter Green was until years after buying FM's white album with Stevie, Christine and Lindsay joining John and Mick.

The first Mac line-up was superb. As for the vinyl, well my Mum & Dad used to despair when I came home on a Friday, or was it Saturday, with a few more records. They cost 6 shillings and 9 pence (old money) at one time and even back then I used to raid the bargain bins or buy some labels on spec as it were.
Classic labels here in the UK included
London American
Island and Chrysalis
Deram
Blue Horizon
Vertigo
etc etc.

Actually I've been disappointed with those particular BBC Sessions. There's a lot of bizarre material such as covers of Elvis Presley tunes that I don't associate with Fleetwood Mac. Worse yet, their hits don't seem to have the energy as on Fleetwood Mac's other recordings. I far prefer my Yardbirds and Who BBC Sessions.
Which other BBC Sessions albums do you like?
I am sure you will enjoy it Foxhound there are some pearler tracks on it.

They always included the Spencer rock n roll send up in their gigs I guess it was to have fun with the punters.
Led Zep, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Rory Gallagher are great BBC sessions Fox IMO.

In dear old fashioned £/shillings/pence in the 60's before decimalisation. Now the price per record was from memory so I could be wrong. Think I'll have to look that one up and get back to you

When I was buying records in the late 1960s in the UK, I paid the equivalent of around 40p for a single and around £2 for a full-priced LP.
(From memory, 40p is about 8 shillings in old UK money)

In UK pre decimal currency there were 20 shillings in £1. A guinea was 21 shillings and the Sovereign has a nominal value of £1 ( I believe they are still minted in this day and age).
