Music Lover
When Europeans made westerns, they kept traditional elements, but added their own, as in the music. I love those films, but when the Americans made films inspired by the Italians, Sam Peckinpah's Wild Bunch was a masterpiece.
This is off-topic, but the British made a western with an amazing cast called A Town Called Bastard (aka A Town Called Hell). Waldo de Los Rios (Mozart's Symphony No. 40) wrote the score. The Smurfs later used one of his classical adaptions. After A Town Called Bastard was novelised, a team of writers, led by Terry Harknett under the name George C. Gilman, produced a massive series of western novels called the Edge series.
