Besides Barrie Masters at the helm, Ed Hollis produced and wrote songs(his younger Brother later sang for Talk Talk)
Another classic urgent anthem.

... in a way the songs always had a question or an angle towards the govt... similar to Jimmy's crew over at Hersham but with more credibility.

Things went on the slide when the suits stepped in-The Rods dint' work for me and I gave them a wide berth until they re-jigged again.
This ripped from the single, I certainly felt like this back then... and gave my mattress some hammer and went dirt scrambling... just to avoid the 'out there'.
This is up there with The Who's anthems.
Do Anything You Wanna Do.

Do Anything You Wanna Do that song was 'all over British music radio' in 1978 and personally the only song that I know of there's. I think they were a basically a 'pub rock band' that rode on the back of the punk rock scene in the UK during 1977-78.
