Devin Townsend Project - Addicted!

As would be expecting from nearly every Devin Townsend/Devin Townsend Project album released so far, Addicted! once again shows off Devin's master craft of the laws of music and structure. And by that I mean, this album yet again will blow your hair back from the power it brings through the speakers alone. The album comes to a total of 10 tracks with some powerful vocals, and some slower songs that are also fairly incredible. It also features a cover of Hyperdrive sung by Anneke van Giersbergen who also are the female vocals included on Supercrush! and Resolve!
I've read a few other reviews on this specific album and some say that they feel like Devin Townsend has a bit of a pop feel throughout this album, and I suppose that's understandable, but I personally don't hear it too clearly. I hear the immense amount of metal and hardcore-ness that I have come to enjoy about Townsend. I mean, i'll admit, Universe In A Ball! does have a bit of a pop feel to it throughout, but I listen to it for the guitar and the vocals, not so much for the feel of pop, but if Devin was attempting to go a bit pop-ish in this album, he did it pretty well.
Short review, but I suppose it was better than nothing. This album is a difficult one for me to review fully for the sheer fact that I don't want to totally make it look like a bad album. If you like Townsend's work, check this album out, that's all I can say.
