Damon Johnson has left Alice Cooper's band to join Thin Lizzy. He had been with Alice since 2004.Johnson was a founding member of the band Brother Cane.Johnson is pretty busy as he also has a country rock band called Whiskey Falls and he has reformed Brother Cane(but I don't know the status of that band)

I`m not too sure if that was a wise career move...:wtf:

Seeing that Alice Cooper is still recording studio albums regularly and Thin Lizzy is nothing but a touring/tribute band, I don't think so either.

But Alice Cooper has had plenty of turnover when it comes to musicians, so maybe he is a little difficult to work with. Who knows?

Thin Lizzy seems to be replacing members all the time so Johnson probably won't be in the band for too long.

I suppose as long as Damon Johnson doesn't get 11-12 beers in him, get within earshot of a live mic and boast "I'm the best thing to ever happen to Thin Lizzy" then I think he will be just fine.

I would rather see Damon and Brother Cane than Damon and Thin Lizzy :grinthumb But I guess he gets paid more for being a sideman than fronting a band.Sort of the same situation as Doyle Bramhall II and Charlie Sexton. They formed the Arc Angels and had a great debut album. But Sexton now plays for Bob Dylan while Bramhall played in Clapton's band and is now in Sheryl Crow's band(he is also dating her)
