Crossfade

Anyone heard of this band. I took interest 'cause they're from South Carolina. Heavy alternative/pop/metal. The song Cold was a hit for them. Detuned guitars and they experimented with a DJ for a few years (They came out in '99). Listened to some of their stuff on line and the song writing is really good but what happened to guitar solos? A lot of bands play so heavy nowadays but lead guitar just ain't what it used to be IMO.

Thrash and speed are a dime-a-dozen these days. Solo's have become "old" style, such a shame too. I like Crossfade, but then I like most grunge inspired bands. I am looking forward to the 2010 release, it is suppose to have a darker sound, and going by this leak "We All Bleed", it will definitely be a change for Crossfade.
