During the '70s and '80s, guitarist/songwriter Craig Chaquico played lead guitar with the popular rock band Jefferson Starship (which later became Starship). When Starship broke up, Chaquico formed Big Bad Wolf, a hard rock band continuing in the same vein as Starship, recording one eponymously titled album before disbanding. He then forged a new career as a contemporary jazz/New Age guitarist. In 1993, he released his first adult contemporary acoustic effort, Acoustic Highway. The album features songs that sparkle like finely faceted gems mined from the depths of his musical experience and considerable finesse.

I've got a couple of Acoustic Alchemy albums but no Acoustic Highway CD's...:D

I recognized the name right off, but didn't know Craig had moved into Jazz/New Age music.

^^^ Yeh, in fact he was been at the top of the Smooth Jazz charts with all 8 of his solo albums LG. I have all of them and have seen him live twice.... both great shows. Fantastic Sunday morning music If you know what I mean. I'll be covering it all. :D

^^^ Completely agree about Sunday morning music. This is pretty much the only kind of jazz I love - smooth, soft, just right... Thanks for starting this thread. Once again, bringing more great and different artists into CRF!

I know exactly what you mean by "Sunday Morning Music", I have quite a few laid back artists that fit that description, not to mention 100's of classical albums as well.:mn:

Craig's second album, Acoustic Planet, was nominated for a Grammy in 1994. More great intricate, soothing work here including a remarkable re-make of Jefferson Starship's "Find Your Way Back".

God, this guy is good. I can't get enough of him. I was listening to that last song and opened another tab so I could cruise around the site. Just great.
