Let me try this again:

Challenging Gravity(2010) - Steve Unruh
- Steve Unruh / acoustic guitars, violins, vocals, drumkits, electric bass, flute, composer
1. Twilight In India
2. Challenging
3. The Ocean
4. Bluebird
5. Fighting Gravity
6. The Path To Alhambra
7. Dissolve
8. Reflecting Pond
"The man" behind the excellent crossover/heavy prog band, Resistor. Steve Unruh has released nine solo albums over the last decade and half and with this album he sets out with an acoustic progressive rock/prog folk agenda with brushes of Eastern and classical/flamenco influences. However it's his fantastic, abrupt time sig shifts and the acoustic interplay of the guitars and violins that really captures my ears. A bonus of the flute adds some etheral ambiences to this earthy, organic endeavour in the vien of the traditional folk rock solo artists of yesterdays with of course the structures of some of the great classic prog artists. Vocals are limited as he lets his multi-instrumental talents shine. A refreshing change from the "typical" prog. Beautifully done.
(Ahhh...wonderful. Internet explorer kicked me in the teeth and ran off with my thread this morning.)
