I can't really criticize Adele because I know nothing about her music...but I am gratified to see Bruce Springsteen doing so well with his new record.

I will be ordering a vinyl edition next month myself.:grinthumb

Bruce Springsteen's 'Wrecking Ball' Debuts at #1 in U.S. and 13 Other Countries

Bruce Springsteen's new album 'Wrecking Ball' (Columbia Records) has debuted at #1 in 14 countries, including the U.S., UK, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. 'Wrecking Ball' marks Springsteen's fifth #1 debut in the past ten years, following 'Working On A Dream' (2009), 'Magic' (2007), 'Devils and Dust' (2005), and 'The Rising' (2002).

Bruce Springsteen's Rolling Stone cover feature and interview with Jon Stewart runs in the March 29 issue, on stands this Friday. Read an excerpt here: Cover Story Excerpt: Bruce Springsteen | Music News | Rolling Stone

'Wrecking Ball,' released on March 6, has earned rave reviews internationally:

"A triumph" ˆ Wall Street Journal

"One of Springsteen's best albums" ˆ Billboard

"Resounds existentially with the raw emotional power of his best records" - Irish Independent

"Stomping with fury yet crackling with jubilation" ˆ USA Today

"A manic, compelling seesaw between intimacy and blowout, anguish and uplift... five stars" ˆ Rolling Stone

"Wrecking Ball defies you not to be swept along with it" ˆ Guardian (UK)

"Springsteen's best release in almost thirty years" ˆ Huffington Post

"Masterful execution" ˆ BBC

Following a week-long takeover on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," last week's performance at the Apollo Theatre and this week's exclusive SXSW appearance, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band kick off their 2012 World Tour on March 18 in Atlanta.

Congrats to Bruce! If anyone could dethrone Adele I'm glad it's someone like him and not some flavor of the month who will disappear into the abyss in a few months, plus it's great that he's representing our preferred genre much like Van Halen is (last week they were still in the top 10, not sure about this week). Hope he can keep up the momentum. :grinthumb

I still don't really know who Adele is. But congrats to Bruce for taking the number 1 spot either way.

Good for you, LG!:grinthumb I know from your previous posts that you haven't kept up with Springsteen over the years so this is a step in the right direction.:D

And I won't criticize Adele either as I happen to like a couple of her songs and the woman can actually sing.

But I'm glad the Boss reigns supreme!

^^^ I'm curious as to what LG will think of it. It's very different from Born To Run but great on a different level. :)

Not taking anything away from Adele either. She has a fantastic voice and deserves all the accolades she's gotten and I'm sure she'll be back having the #1 album. But if anyone could knock her off the top spot, I couldn't be more thrilled that it was Bruce. It's BOSS TIME now! :D
