BRET MICHAELS To Be Released From Hospital Tomorrow - Jan. 25, 2011
According to RadarOnline.com, POISON frontman Bret Michaels will be released from St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday after he underwent successful surgery yesterday (Monday, January 24) to repair a hole in his heart — a condition he's had since birth, but only recently discovered. The procedure involved doctors inserting a catheter into Michaels' groin and, aided by cameras, guiding a device into the heart to close the hole, reports Reuters.

Hospital officials told Reuters the device is designed to stop abnormal blood flow between the two chambers of the heart.

Michaels in December said that he was optimistic about the surgery.

"I gotta tell ya, I'm very positive," he said. "I feel positive they're going to do an amazing job. They've done thousands of these operations."
