I'm not one to call the crooner genre my favorite. While I do like a fair share of Sinatra and Martin I'm not one to listen to them in large spades of time. However, I gave Bobby Darin a try, picking up the Icon collection and I was impressed track for track. Here's a crooner who went all across the gambit bridging the crooner style with an Elvis style Rock and charm. I also got a great sense of humor and a willingness to spread across genres even including Country. It makes me want to check out the "Beyond The Sea" film! I'll leave it to the more experienced crew here to add to and fill in the gaps here but I thought he deserved his own thread here!

Always liked this guy. Of course I started with the hits, like "Mack The Knife", "Dream Lover", Splish Splash", "Queen Of The Hop" and "If I Were A Carpenter". It's a shame he died so young.
