Birth Control.
I've been on a bit of a Krautrock binge lately and came across this band that has been around since 1968. They took the name Birth Control as a stab at Pope Paul's policies on anti-birth control.

They have released approximately 30 albums, including a couple of live records. The style is probably best described as progressive hard rock.

The band has had a fair amount of band member changes over the years and they did take a break between 1983 and 1993 following the death of guitarist Bruno Frenzel.

Founding members:
Bernd "Nossi" Noske - vocals, drums & percussion - 26. December 1968 to February 2014
Bernd "Koschi" Koschmidder - bass - August 1968 to February 1973
Reinhold "Booboo" Sobotta - keyboards - August 1968 to January 1972
Rolf "Rolly Joker" Gurra - saxophone, guitar, vocals - August 1968 to December 1969
Fritz "Little Lord" Gröger - vocals, guitar - August 1968 to Fall 1969
Reiner Borchert - guitar - (August 1968 to March 1969)
Klaus Orso - guitar - August 1968 to December 1968
Hugo Egon Balder - drums - August 1968 to 25. December 1968
Gerd Alsheimer - trumpet - August 1968

Current members:
Peter Föller - vocals (1973 - 1977, since 2016)
Sascha "Sosho" Kühn - keyboards, piano (since 2000)
Martin "Ludi" Ettrich - guitar, talk box (since 2011)
Hannes "Cyborg Haines" Vesper - bass, backing vocals (since 1998)
Manfred von Bohr - drums (1977 - 1980, since 2016)

Nice! I get excited when I come across this type stuff. The 70’s really was a great music decade. To be honest, I would rather listen to this lost/obscure music than anything from the 00’s. The creativity is unequivocal.

Good band...I have Operation, Hoodo Man ... and Plastic People....all on cd (burned for me by an old friend who had a huge collection). Not seen any old vinyl here in the US.

Please hog away. Just pace it that we can really give it a good listen.
I know what you mean about pacing the posts..I have a post bookmark list that is huge, trying to keep up with stuff that’s new to me.
I do get excited, though, when I find something really cool & want to share it right away! ;)
