Paper Lace were from my home town, and when the TV and cabaret dried up- the lead singer went into construction.. plastering I think?... he worked the same sites as me... anyway everytime he climbed a ladder... us guys would blast a chorus of " Billy Don't Be A Hero!"

Yeah! that band put Nottingham on the map (pop wise)... Alvin Lee and Ian Paice came from Nottingham... Rock was well represented... then Swing Out Sister were born!

Yes! She most certainly looked posh! Loved her hair! I styled mine the same way in the 80s
