Recorded in 2007, In Michigan

I watched this today on HDNET, and I'm thoroughly impressed. BNL apparently can put on a damn good show.. Great stage presence, funny guys, they look like they're having tons of fun, and they make a fairly large venue have a similar feel to a small bar.. They are very tight musically as well.. over all a great show.. Tons of energy, and they don't just rely on One Week.. I can't stand it when bands just rely on their one hit for the energy and vibe of the show, but they don't.... Even a fun little dance segment... I'm not sure if that's a BNL thing or what?, but it's kind of funny, and it's nice to see a band that can have that much fun...

I even found the whole thing on Hulu.. so Enjoy.. I sure did:grinthumb

Awesome online find, EB, and thanks for sharing it. I have always like the fun songs of BNL. I have 2 of their albums, Stunt and Maroon. This concert looked like a packed house, and they did give the audience their money's worth

Call me stupid, but I really thought there's some soft porn stuff going on here. "Bare NAKED Ladies". Didn't even know that's a band (it was suspicious that it was listed in music section). Anyhow, my bad xD

I really did not like this band for several reasons. I seen them a couple times during my college years, but I was just too stubborn to listen. I think I didn't like them because the girls really liked them... :lmao:

I would suggest the following 20 songs:

1. Brian Wilson
2. What a good boy
3. Wind it up
4.Lovers in a dangerous time (Bruce Cockburn)
5.Enid
6. Ordinary
7. Another Heartbreak
8.You run Away
9. One Week
10. Its all been done
11. Call and Answer
12. bank Job
13. Sound of your voice
14. Too little Too Late
15. Pinch Me
16. For you
17. Maybe katie
18. Adrift
19. Easy
20. The Old Apartment

Also, I'm a really big Beatles fan and I really thought this article was very interesting:

Paul McCartney was recently asked by a London session musician which bands’ talents he likes in today’s musicland. “A lot of the bands today are much more technical than we were,” Macca said. “But the Barenaked Ladies have to be my favorite. Their harmonies are right on. They could outsing us any day of the week. I don’t think John and myself ever had the sort of range they do.” McCartney added he wouldn’t mind cutting an album with the band. Maybe BNL’s next song with Paul will be titled “If I had a Billion Dollars” – just like Sir Paul had before gave a good chunk away to Heather Mills.

:heheh:^

Even more of a reason to like them:tongue:

I'd be more interested in a George Harrison collaboration, but I suppose Paul would suffice:heheh:

For some reason when I first heard Brian Wilson I just couldn't get enough of it. Eventually I ended up researching the different line from the song to find the exact meanings, the result of which being that I once again became obsessed with the Beach Boys as had been in my younger years. This song is very deep for me. I really relate with Brian's life and struggles with drug abuse.
