Bamblusion, The Review

Bamblusion, a bluesy rock band with a dose of jazz, has released their second album. The self-titled Bamblusion is a demonstration of how much talent Mark Perry, Paul Dawicki, and George Czeremcha have. It’s a rock and roll album for all occasions, it begs to be played in the car with the top down on a country road or over the home stereo while having a good time with your friends. Bamblusion has hit a sweet spot between technical skill and simply good sound. It’s easy to listen to, yet there is a musical depth that is very challenging to pick apart. The guitar is absolutely the star of the show, but all three instruments are played with great skill.

Things get off to a lively start with “First Time” as the light spirit of the vocals and instruments feels like a refreshing breeze. You just can’t help but feel better, right along with the lyrics, “I’m feeling better for the first time.” Next up is a class on how to make a good old southern rock song in the form of “Kentucky Bourbon Woman” and its fantastic guitar licks. “Slide Song” keeps the energy going with a bluesy rock style that sounds like it would be as fun to play as it is to listen to. “No More” puts Bamblusion’s jazz roots proudly on display with a bouncy drum and bass line that eventually ramps up into a full on rock jam and mellows back down again. “Day By Day” has singing guitar solos interspersed with solid jam band instruments and verses. “Two Fisted” slows down the tempo a bit with a very full sound and incredible guitar solos. The combination of harmonica with solid guitar picking makes “Magazine” a very bluesy jam that will get your toes tapping. “Is It Wrong” is an acoustic piece that mellows things out and shows that fancy guitar work doesn’t require amps and distortion. “Jolene” finishes the album on a high note by alternating between an energetic rock sound and a mellow blues sound that creates an adventure within the song.

Bamblusion is a band for anyone who likes good old rock and roll. Solid song writing and good instrumentals make Bamblusion an album to put in heavy rotation on anyone’s good time music playlist. The love of music shines through on every track and the technical ability of the band backs it up. I would recommend this to anyone who likes classic rock, blues rock, jazz rock, jam rock, the list goes on. It’s just good music. Bamblusion is available for “likes” on Facebook, and followers on Twitter.
