I have been a fan of Tangerine Dream since the early 70's....who are often mentioned as a huge influence on TRance.....what are some artists that you consider big in Trance....those on the list above?


I listened to 4 or 5 tracks from Van Buuren and it sounded like typical EDM to me that you might find at raves.
Also played some Quantum on DNA...again it's basic Electronic Dance Music imho.

Trance and EDM sound the same to me. I was hoping for more of an atmospheric vibe like Tangerine DReam or dark ambient.

Listened to Psypsiq Jicuri....same thing ...sort of edm dance music with other things happening at times.
I'd rather listed to Stereolab....they have a better mix of edm/trance blended with electronic pop...its not just 'dance music' which most of trance and edm seem to be.
