Had some luck a couple days ago, and found a very High Quality copy of this old record.

Definitely an early Genesis feel to the album, I really enjoyed it. I'll have to see if there are any more Anthony Phillips gems out there.:hab:

The album is Phillip's first solo album The Geese and the Ghost. Phillips began writing the material with Mike Rutherford for Genesis, but he left the band because he suffered from stage fright. The plan was then to record the material as a Rutherford/Phillips collaboration, but Rutherford's commitment to The Lamb Lies Down made this difficult. In the meantime, Phillips' record company withdrew their finance for the studio time. The album took around three years to record and was not released until 1977. It only saw the light of day because Genesis manager Tony Smith set up his own label to release the album, which includes, besides Rutherford (on various instruments including drums), Phil Collins on vocals and John Hackett on flute. The legendary Jack Lancaster, of Aviator among others, is also included on reeds.
