Here's a good one.. I dabbled with hash, shrooms, a little paper acid back when I was way younger, But one time in 2009 my boy made up a batch of pot/shroom brownies.
I was buy myself listening to Jean Michel Jarre~Oxygen and when they kicked in, THEY KICKED IN!!

I was sitting in my rocker next to my drums and started feeling my cymbals..

I came to the very profound conclusion that the reason my cymbals were cold is because.... They were DEAD!!

I rationalized that from the fact that once the metal to make them was in the earth and was taken out and melted into a liquid to turn them into cymbals..

I was having a deep moment. I eventually grabbed my reality senses, I thought.. Dam It!! I'm calling that kid up and cussing him out for making me trip so hard.. :lmao:

I’m saving my best altered states song for another thread, but….

This song is such a paranoia and panic inducing song, running at 4:20 for a reason..

Put your head piece on and see if this song alone doesn’t give you an altered state…

It’s a trip just watching the video. Great choice!
From their second lp...'There Are But Four Small Faces'.....the whole lp is brilliant.
I also recommend the third lp 'Ogdens Nut Gone Flake' and 'Autumn Stone' which is a compilation that has some marvelous r&b pop rock on it. Steve Marriot had one of the greatest voices in rock and of course also sang with Humble Pie.

... some great contributions here... thanks!
Just to clarify I don't judge or condone.... today the use of recreational drugs... I'm not my Brother's keeper (so to speak)... But in all honesty I'd prefer my kids not to dabble (though I'm not naive enough to realise they've had a fingernail or two)
Neither was I personally a prolific user.... and this scorpio knew where his 'off button' was. Slip's description of his cymbals was exactly what I attempted to explain when I began this thread... and that Jean Mícheál Jarre album fitted so well!
I've gone down a mental rabbit hole so many times when infused.... and the first two Steve Miller albums make an ideal accompliment to any 'chemistry set'
This piece induced journeyism-
The Animals - A Girl Named Sandoz.

I've got so many hazy stories.... Mojo my pal down South has heard a few and can "relate".
