Let's just say my name is Fingers, yea?
Hi, I'm Fingers and I've stumbled across this website just yesterday whilst looking for a forum related to rock music. The reason I was looking for such a forum is because I recently started playing bass guitar, and my teacher suggested that I should explore different genres and perhaps look up a few classics within every genre. I felt like joining a forum would help me in this case, since I would like to discuss my opinion on certain genres once exploring has been done. And what better place for discussions about classics than a forum called classicrockforums, haha!
When it comes to music, I'm into everything besides noise genres and screamo. I feel like most genres can be appreciated if you understand their history, and the movements associated with them. I'd have to say my top 3 favorite genres are rock, shoegaze, and hip hop. Within the rock genre my top 3 subgenres would be stoner rock, psychedelic rock, and alternative rock.
Music has really become a big part of my life as of late, and I'm hoping me joining this forum will just be another positive mark in my music loving life.
Ps: Sorry if the post is too long.
