Thought it might be fun to post some 1960's r&b and soul.

Up first, the Five Du-Tones.

They recorded the original version of "Shake A Tail Feather" in 1963. Their version made it about half-way up the Billboard Hot 100.

Here's one of their more rockin' singles, "The Gouster". Dig that guitar break.

Pure fun here, "The Chicken Astronaut".

For whatever reason I never really collected many soul artists over the years, I prefer Jazz and R&B, but I'm always willing to check out new artists.

I'd consider the Five Du-Tones to be much more r&b than soul. Thanks for checking them out.
