I've, alas only seen several members of this band separately - Cissy Strut,Look ka, Cabbage etc... are excellent.... But Allen Toussant produced this and freed that inner 'George Benson'.....

My all-time favourite bass player - Gary Thain of Keef Hartley Band and the classic Uriah Heep line-up.
Uriah Heep - Sweet Lorraine - a bass masterpiece

That was my dad's favorite Heep song. Gary is one of my favorites as well.

Need to get more into this thread when it isn't so late..

He has got to be IMO one of the best blues rock guitarist alive..

This underrated yet respected session rhythm master sadly left us some four years ago, but his curriculum vitae stands up, worked on Cry Of Love and Electric Ladyland, played on Carly Simon, Richie Havens, Fred Neil, Buffy Saint Marie albums and many many more. His mastering of the vibraphone in his youth helped cement his style and aid a lead player. He adopted the use of Leslie speakers quite often. He's earnt his stripes to qualify for this thread.
