    Robert Plant in 2006

Yes - you're right - sorry - it was the Strange Sensation. "Morning Dew" is great, isn't it? I've got a version by Rod Stewart/Jeff Beck - but do you know who else has recorded it?

    Robert Plant in 2006

Apologies if recent shows by Robert Plant have already been discussed here - but I saw him play in London last night....and it was AMAZING. I went along with pretty low expectations to be honest...just to tick off another Legend on my list...and I was bracing myself for all the faux-Alabama...

Well, it is a reissue of three existing DVDs - but I didn't buyt them at the time - so I'll be buying this. Yes - I like the long, proogyy 70s songs - but the early 1980s was their peak, I reckon.

Re: WASP & Blackie aka Steven Duren Yes - thanks Pooldude. I remember seeing WASP in 1984 - and I got covered in pig's blood and feathers.

    Kurt Cobain

It's true...I was probably sounding a bit too hardcore about it...and I agree...it's v. important for any friend or relative to make it clear that the 'withdrawal' from the relationship is entirely to do with the addiction - and is not an outright rejection of the person himself. There's a...

    Kurt Cobain

Eccentric Man - yes, most people are able to control their drinking and drug use - but addicts and alcoholics can't. I'm sure your drummer has all the good intentions about 'cutting down' and 'checking into rehab in the summer' - but if he is a genuine alcoholic he won't recover unless he stops...

    Kurt Cobain

Yes...by about a million times! Sounds like you've been surrounded by it too much already - good to hear that your brother and colleague made it.

    Kurt Cobain

Honestly DC...it's a tough situation....but he'll suck you dry and his illness will get worse and worse the more people indulge it or try to 'reason' with him or give him attention while he's still using. It sounds like he wants help on some level - but is looking in the wrong places to find it...

    Kurt Cobain

Yes DC...it's like pouring energy into a void. The next step is to withdraw from him - it sounds harsh - but there's absolutely nothing you can do - except be there for him after he gets into enough pain and seeks help.

    Guitarists?

In fact - Hendrix aside - I'm really over all those old bores on the list. Let's hear it for Alex Lifeson, Trevor Rabin, Neal Schon, Kirk Hammet, the Edge, Ace Frehley...ANYONE but Ron Wood and Eric Clapton....

    Guitarists?

Out of the list above it has to be Hendrix. But Schenker is the King.

Re: You Tube: Great clip Otto - and Jagger is actually being quite amusing at the start - I'd never thought of him as a funny guy.
