These past few days, I've really come to enjoy playing "Living Loving Maid" by Led Zeppelin. Especially the solo. It's filled with bluesy goodness. Probably the funnest solo.
How did you begin playing guitar? Tell us your backstory, no matter how long you have been playing. Name things like the first solo you learned and the first full song you learned and such. Name your first guitar. Name good times and bad times in your guitar playing career.
MINE: I started...
I find the Bass parts in NIB to be absolutely stunning. If any of you haven't heard that song, listen to it. It really captures the raw power of Black Sabbath.
Even though I like other guitarists a lot more than I like Hendrix. Hendrix has to be mine. He influenced later artists and his artistic abilities on the guitar was incredible. Sucks he didn't live long.
I mean you can't really vote against ether one. I love them both. But, Zeppelin IV is from the 71 and Back in Black was in 1980. And these bands are two completely different styles as ACDC is more hard rock. But I would rather have Zeppelin IV.
Amazing album. My favorite Brian Johnson era album... The opening bells just really get you hooked for the entire album. And songs like Have a Drink on me, Back in Black, and Shook me all night long keep you hooked. Great overall album.
Alright guys so I think it's time that we name our top 5 guitar riffs. So let's hear yours. Mine are:
5. Bad to the Bone - George Thorogood and the Destroyers
4. Enter Sandman - Metallica
3. Runnin' With the Devil - Van Halen
2. Paranoid - Black Sabbath
1. Black Dog - Led Zeppelin
So I've heard many people call Black Sabbath Heavy Metal, some called them Hard Rock, and some called them Death Metal and I just want to know opinions, which classification of rock does Black Sabbath fall under?
