Best Forgotten Bands of the 70's.

Since I favor the 70's over most other classic rock most of these bands are not forgotten for me at least... Just a thought.. Maybe the thread should have read "70's Bands that are Best Forgotten" :oyea:

    Illegal Music Downloading

Speaking of iTunes and anything else that begins with "i", I wont touch it with a ten foot pole. Apple and Steve Jobs although they put out some "trendy" products, when you get down to it they have always been full of it with all their proprietary BS. I do like the iPhone but wouldn't buy one...

    Top Debut Albums

I guess Critically Acclaimed would mean professional critics have said it was very good. So maybe that wasn't the best choice of words. What I meant was "Highly Popular" and I guess sales would sometimes be a determining factor but not always. Also I mentioned the word "consensus" which would...

    Top Debut Albums

Some of the entries are fine but on some I guess we kind of lost the point of the thread.. Thread was titled "Top" Debut albums, not just any debut albums. Maybe the thread should have read "Critically Acclaimed" debut albums. I guess Critically Acclaimed would be a matter of concensus.. :):)...

Most disappointing concert you have attended

Van Halen in October of 1981 in San Antonio. I liked the band (at the time), but they were all extremely drunk. They were celebrating David Lee Roth's birthday and were all chugging Jack Daniels from the bottle. They were way off key and they would suddenly stop in the middle of the songs and...

    The Cars (Official Thread)

Re: The Cars IMO, I think the term "New Wave" was in the context of the times (late 70's) kind of an "out with the old and in with the new type of thing". Almost no one uses the term anymore since there is nothing "New" about it, lol. :) They are listed on rateyourmusic.com as New Wave...

    The Who???

I like a few early songs.. Substitute, My Generation, I can see for Miles. Even Tommy didn't do much for me except Pinball Wizard.. They did start to shine big time in the 70's with the Live at Leeds album and later releases.. 'Who's next" is a kick ass album. A true classic
