    Re: 70's SCORPIONS!!! The 80's scorpions were good (commercial) but I prefer the 70's. Especially Lovedrive and Virgin Killers. I say them in 1981 just before they became big on MTV and such.

    I think this thread got side tracked.. It reads "overrated rock artists" not pop.. So: Britney, Joni Mitchell, Abba, Jacko etc. none of those qualify as rock artists..     AC/DC: If it aint broke dont fix it. It works for what it's for I wouldn't consider U2 a "classic" rock band. they are more alternative rock even though they've been around for a lot of years. Everyone likes to bash them but look who's filling up the stadiums. I second the vote for GNR
